This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the creation and execution of revenue cycle strategies related to professional billing, follow-up, and denial management.
• Collaborate with the RSC Senior Leadership team to ensure alignment and optimization of operational revenue management processes.
• Formulate and execute strategies aimed at maximizing collections, reducing costs associated with collection, and fulfilling patient requirements.
• Develop and oversee the annual operating budget.
• Perform return-on-investment analyses for capital expenditures.
• Identify potential opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Analyze budget discrepancies and initiate improvement measures.
• Discover and implement new technologies or enhancements to existing systems.
• Lead initiatives focused on quality and performance improvement.
• Establish systems to design, measure, maintain, and enhance department service performance and quality.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Create action plans that align with the organization's strategic initiatives and goals.
• Serve as the champion or business owner for external vendors supporting Revenue Cycle operations.
• Select and manage third-party vendors within designated departments.
• Monitor and evaluate revenue cycle metrics.
• Collaborate with senior leaders regarding financial goals and objectives.
• Oversee and develop a team of revenue cycle professionals.
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management.
• Proven ability to forge strong partnerships across Managed Care, Finance, ITDS, operations, and clinical leadership.
• Capability to lead teams within large operational, healthcare, or financial settings.
• In-depth understanding of hospital and clinic operations.
• Knowledge of hospital and clinic finance and accounting, including principles and operations related to patient accounting.
• Extensive awareness of the healthcare and finance landscape, including trends, policies, and regulations.
• Advanced understanding of information systems, vendor contracts, and patient accounting processes, including billing, collections, and reimbursement analysis.
• Profound knowledge of engagement strategies that foster high-performing teams and a work culture aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Skills in developing efficient and effective solutions to complex business challenges.
• Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, presentation, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred).
• Extensive familiarity with Epic software systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of compliance related to HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Willingness to work remotely with travel as necessary.
• Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan with an additional performance-based compensation opportunity linked to a percentage of base salary and achievement of Board-approved goals.
