This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
β’ Establish the enterprise contracting strategy for each new practice: tuck-in, pillar, or de novo.
β’ Spearhead negotiations for new and modified commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid MCO payor agreements.
β’ Evaluate fee schedules and reimbursement terms to pinpoint rate discrepancies, renegotiation possibilities, and risk exposure.
β’ Maintain the payor contract library and tracking system.
β’ Collaborate with legal counsel on contract language, risk terms, and reimbursement modeling.
β’ Develop and assess payor contracting profiles against pre-close inventory.
β’ Create project plans and trackers for due diligence and associated timelines.
β’ Ensure that current fee schedules are readily available to RCA teams.
β’ Oversee the payor-related integration workstream, which includes pre-close assessments, day-one network readiness, and post-close rate reconciliation.
β’ Facilitate communication on payor-related matters between acquired practices and revenue cycle, finance, and IT teams.
β’ Promote credentialing and ensure uninterrupted patient access throughout transitions.
β’ Manage contracting timelines while identifying risks and dependencies.
β’ Lead onboarding discussions with practice owners and billing staff.
β’ Monitor integration milestones and report payor readiness to leadership.
β’ Provide guidance to newly acquired practice owners regarding payor strategy.
β’ Cultivate relationships with payor representatives.
β’ Create repeatable contracting frameworks, templates, and checklists.
β’ Assist in team training, workflow and vendor ROI assessment, and ad-hoc payor projects.
β’ Bachelor's degree required.
β’ 5+ years of experience in payor contracting, managed care, or provider network management.
β’ Direct experience in negotiating commercial, Medicare Advantage, and/or Medicaid MCO contracts.
β’ Prior experience in supporting multi-site healthcare practice acquisitions is highly preferred.
β’ Strong skills in contract negotiation and fee schedule analysis.
β’ Proven project management capabilities across cross-functional teams.
β’ Excellent interpersonal skills; adept at quickly building trust with new partners under pressure and assisting them in adapting to change.
β’ Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks (Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, corporate practice of medicine) is a plus.
β’ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities typical of a growth-stage or acquisitive organization.
β’ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills.
β’ Exceptional leadership and presentation abilities.
β’ Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
β’ Knowledge of data analysis and data mining tools, including data warehouses and Microsoft Excel.
