Senior Director, Legal Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted advisor to General Counsel, Chief Legal Officers, and Legal Operations leaders regarding contract transformation, legal innovation, and AI-enhanced contract intelligence.

• Facilitate discussions, workshops, and briefings at the executive level focused on legal transformation, contract intelligence, governance, compliance, and risk management.

• Act as a thought leader for Icertis in the legal sector through participation in industry events, webinars, customer engagements, and market-facing initiatives.

• Collaborate with Sales and Solution Engineering to bolster strategic enterprise opportunities, ensure deal success, and promote revenue growth.

• Create persuasive business cases that illustrate the value, ROI, and business impact of Icertis Contract Intelligence and AI solutions.

• Offer legal knowledge throughout the sales process, including understanding customer requirements, solution design, best practices, and responses to RFPs.

• Work alongside Product Management and Engineering to shape product strategy, drive AI innovation, and prioritize roadmap initiatives based on insights from customers and the market.

• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, Services, Customer Success, and external industry stakeholders to enhance Icertis' market position and customer engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree; active or previous experience in legal practice is highly preferred.

• Background in legal technology, legal operations, enterprise software, consulting, or corporate legal settings.

• In-depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management (CLM), commercial contracting, governance, compliance, risk management, and best practices in legal operations.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and provide counsel to General Counsel, CLOs, Legal Operations leaders, and other senior legal figures on intricate legal and business issues.

• Strong grasp of legal transformation, process optimization, and the implementation of technology and AI in legal organizations.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities, with experience in influencing executive and C-suite audiences.

• Strong business acumen, capable of developing value propositions, ROI models, and strategic roadmaps that align legal initiatives with business results.

• Enthusiasm for AI and innovation, along with the capacity to collaborate with global teams and travel as necessary for customer engagements and industry events.

• Availability to travel up to 30% for customer interactions, industry events, and internal collaboration.
