Associate Counsel – Client Contracting Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide support to the client contracting team of PBM as in-house legal counsel.

• Engage in negotiations of non-disclosure agreements with clients, consultants, service providers, health plans, and other relevant parties.

• Act as a resource for attorneys within the client contracting team and business associates.

• Offer guidance and conduct research on emerging legal and regulatory matters affecting the PBM sector.

• Negotiate contracts for pharmacy benefit services with employer plan sponsor clients and third-party administrators (TPAs).

• Assist in maintaining client relationships and support the proposals team in addressing new business prospects.

• Draft and negotiate contracts related to PBM services.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the Legal department and other departments such as government affairs, regulatory affairs, client audit, and underwriting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently practicing attorney with over 3 years of proven experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment.

• Familiarity with healthcare or other regulatory issues.

• Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and/or engaging with government regulators or agencies concerning healthcare issues.

• Licensed to practice law in at least one state and in good standing.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% (including air travel).

• Strong skills in legal writing and research, with proficiency in using Westlaw.

• Experience providing counsel to sophisticated clients on business-related matters.

• Background in litigation or dispute resolution.

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
