
Senior Director, Field Medical Outcomes – Therapeutic Area Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the generation of Field Medical Insights
• Facilitate a seamless medical content process from initial concept through approval and colleague training
• Spearhead the design, development, and execution of data analytics and related resources for the identification and prioritization of healthcare professionals (HCPs)
• Direct initiatives across assigned therapeutic areas and the Field Medical Outcomes group
• Collaborate with teams from Field Medical Outcomes, Field Medical Directors, Brand Medical Affairs, Global Product Development, Medical Operations and Analytics, as well as commercial, legal, regulatory, policy, and corporate affairs
• Evaluate complex field medical projects to ensure alignment with brand and medical strategies, while scaling deliverables for various stakeholders
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in external engagements with physician-based professional associations and societies
• Formulate strategic and tactical plans along with annual medical objectives for FMO
• Conduct SWOT analyses, identify strategies and tactics, and create budgets
• Organize advisory boards and qualitative research initiatives
• Develop, review, submit, and manage FMO medical resources and materials
• Oversee permissions, copyrights, review comments, production, warehousing, and access to resources
• Provide training to FMO colleagues on resources and track resource expiration and performance
• Collaborate on strategies for medical affairs, product launches, integrated evidence plans, publications, abstracts, posters, and presentations
• Work alongside commercial leadership to contribute to national account operating plans
• Engage with external opinion leaders, partners, agencies, stakeholders, and healthcare associations
• Build strategic medical partnerships aimed at enhancing patient outcomes
• Manage resources to ensure adherence to reporting obligations, SOPs, and Corporate Integrity Agreement guidelines
• Terminal Doctorate degree required (PharmD, PhD)
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience in clinical patient care, formulary management, medical account management, as well as pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research
• Strong methodological expertise in study design, data analysis, and interpretation
• At least 3 out of 5: experience leading a matrix organization; background in the pharmaceutical industry; involvement in healthcare quality improvement projects; management of people in a healthcare setting; data analytics/pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Experience in analyzing healthcare data, including real-world evidence (RWE), claims, and electronic health records
• Proficient scientific communication skills
• Capacity to prioritize multiple demands and employ situational leadership
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to manage projects in a remote setting
• Experience working in a matrixed, multidisciplinary team
• Capability to lead and facilitate change
• Proficient in utilizing digital technology and documenting medical interactions
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. by any employer
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not currently available nor will it be in the future
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, including overnight stays
