📋 Description

• Define the future HCP commercial portfolio by implementing early commercialization strategies, developing customer ecosystems, ensuring launch readiness, and planning transitions.

• Direct HCP commercial strategies across pipeline assets, future indications, exploratory opportunities, partnerships, licensing opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.

• Convert HCP Experience priorities into early commercialization strategies that support launch readiness, customer ecosystem growth, portfolio expansion, and investment decisions.

• Maintain an understanding of emerging customer needs, therapeutic landscapes, KOL networks, academic institutions, referral dynamics, and other stakeholders at the community level.

• Evaluate emerging opportunities and provide commercial insights on priorities, customer potential, readiness, resource requirements, and strategic options.

• Collaborate with asset, development, Medical Affairs, Business Development, and commercial teams to integrate customer and ecosystem insights into asset strategy, evidence planning, launch planning, and market development.

• Elevate insights regarding emerging customers, science, markets, and pipelines to senior leadership.

• Create a comprehensive Emerging Science & Pipeline Strategy plan.

• Oversee early customer planning, including mapping ecosystems, identifying emerging KOLs, prioritizing academic centers, and addressing customer journey implications.

• Design early HCP education and engagement strategies in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

• Establish criteria for launch and transition readiness for assets entering Neurology, Rheumatology, or future therapeutic communities.

• Manage transition planning to ensure continuity in the customer ecosystem, smooth handoffs, resource readiness, and accountability.

• Monitor scientific, market, customer, and competitive dynamics, adjusting priorities and transition plans accordingly.

• Foster partnerships across therapeutic communities and enterprise functions.

• Align priorities, navigate asset and launch-readiness trade-offs, and ensure adherence to strategic priorities.

• Promote data-driven and AI-enhanced approaches.

• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports and empowered teams.

• Cultivate a culture of customer-centricity, accountability, collaboration, innovation, compliance, and sound judgment.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.

• Around 15+ years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical commercial sector.

• Proven leadership in early commercialization, pipeline strategy, HCP marketing, launch planning, therapeutic area strategy, or portfolio strategy.

• Experience leading pipeline strategy, early commercialization, launch readiness, and therapeutic area strategy across multiple assets, indications, or lifecycle stages.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize emerging opportunities and manage complex, matrixed work across various assets, functions, and competing priorities.

• Strong knowledge of HCP customer journeys, KOL engagement, disease-state education, customer ecosystem development, and launch readiness in specialty, rare disease, biologics, or similarly complex markets.

• Capability to lead cross-functional teams, develop talent, and manage intricate commercialization initiatives through periods of growth, ambiguity, and change.

• In-depth understanding of HCP marketing, early commercialization, pipeline strategy, customer engagement, launch readiness, and lifecycle management within complex healthcare markets.

• Ability to comprehend and shape emerging scientific ecosystems, KOL networks, academic centers, referral dynamics, and prospective customer communities.

• Competence in evaluating competing pipeline opportunities, assessing commercial readiness, and providing clear recommendations.

• Experience in translating emerging science, customer insights, and market dynamics into actionable commercialization strategies.

• Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.

• Ability to synthesize scientific, customer, market, and cross-functional inputs into coherent direction.

• Proficient in influencing senior stakeholders, resolving trade-offs, and leading effectively within a complex network of empowered teams.

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams through periods of ambiguity and change.
