Marketing Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead the charge in generating leads to achieve annual revenue goals and foster B2C growth.

• Establish the marketing strategic direction encompassing campaigns, messaging, and branding.

• Develop quarterly marketing plans, explore new channels, and conduct testing.

• Negotiate marketing contracts with partners and external entities; assess and evaluate channel partners.

• Oversee the annual marketing review, which includes performance analysis, market trends, and strategic adjustments.

• Ensure compliance with DRM brand standards.

• Provide final approval for email marketing campaigns, social media content, blogs, paid advertisements, print materials, and collateral.

• Identify and endorse website updates.

• Supervise content creation and data organization/cleanup.

• Manage and optimize the marketing budget for return on assets; suggest and oversee budget allocation.

• Negotiate and implement contracts with marketing resources such as PPC agencies and CRO providers.

• Review initiatives for budget and strategic coherence.

• Establish budgets for the ambassador program and other strategic projects.

• Identify requirements for marketing tools/assets and define specifications and budgets.

• Guide the Marketing team in sourcing and implementing solutions or engaging external experts.

• Oversee backend builds, landing pages, and UX/template enhancements.

• Set quarterly marketing objectives, KPIs, and success metrics; take ownership of the marketing Scorecard.

• Monitor Scorecard metrics/KPIs on a weekly basis, identify any off-track metrics, and suggest corrective actions.

• Audit quarterly results and adjust priorities, including the Scorecard and Rocks.

• Ensure accurate reporting of Scorecard metrics/KPIs using analytical tools.

• Conduct final quality assurance across all marketing initiatives, channels, platforms, and vendors.

• Participate in the leadership team and hold the Marketing position within the EOS framework, including Rocks, Scorecard, and L10 meetings.

• Acclimate to current programs, brand standards, and technology stack within the first 90 days.

• Complete the knowledge transfer from the departing CMO.

• Establish quarterly Rocks and take responsibility for the Scorecard.

• Foster effective working relationships with Marketing Coordinator contractors and clarify their roles.

• Present an initial 90-day marketing strategy to the leadership team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

• Proven ability to own marketing strategy and execution in a small-to-mid-sized company, ideally within the $5M–$20M revenue range, in both a strategic and hands-on manner.

• B2C marketing experience is preferred, ideally including direct mail/print, ambassador or referral programs, and paid media (PPC/CRO).

• Demonstrated success in managing a marketing budget for return on assets/return on investment and negotiating vendor/agency contracts.

• Experience in managing personnel, including junior team members and technical contractors.

• Comfortable operating in an EOS-driven company — with Rocks, Scorecards, L10s, and accountability charts; EOS experience is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles: content, email/SMS, SEO/SEM, marketing automation, and website/landing page coordination.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly present strategies and Scorecard results to leadership.

• Familiarity with tools such as Customer.io, Google Analytics, monday.com, and Excel/Google Sheets.

• Experience transitioning from a fractional or consulting marketing leader to an in-house role is a plus.

• Experience with direct-to-consumer channels like mailers, print, stuffers, newspaper inserts, and promotional campaigns is advantageous.
