Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships – Olympics

📋 Description

• Oversee the business segment within the property team, maintaining initial client relationships and fostering future growth for the Olympic and National Governing Body sector.

• Drive the acquisition of new business sponsorships for National Governing Body and Olympic clients represented by PIVOT.

• Utilize NGB connections and national corporate relationships to establish foundational partnerships leading up to the LA 2028 Olympics.

• Deliver consultative commercial rights strategies encompassing IP, licensing, hospitality, partnerships, and activation opportunities.

• Spearhead sales presentations and outbound sales initiatives.

• Supervise and mentor business development executives while aiding in client and prospect communications.

• Cross-sell clients across PIVOT’s various properties, brands, hospitality, and other divisions.

• Manage a personal portfolio of business, including prospecting, lead generation, proposal crafting, and deal closure.

• Act as the primary liaison between clients and the PIVOT sales team, overseeing accounts and relationships directly.

• Take the lead within the property sales division while managing direct reports.

• Conduct executive-level communications with both new and existing clients.

• Provide regular updates on business development objectives and outreach efforts.

• Support PIVOT executive staff on special initiatives.

• Achieve and surpass individual revenue targets, engage in daily sales activities, communicate sales outreach and pipeline forecasts, and embody company objectives and values.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or related fields.

• 5-7+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, marketing, and business development within a National Governing Body or USOPC.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape.

• Possess an established book of business and industry connections.

• A motivating leader capable of energizing individuals and teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• A suitable level of drive and resilience to manage multiple demanding projects in a fast-paced, technical environment and a rapidly changing industry.

• Strong understanding of networking platforms available within the sports management sector.

• Advanced skills in negotiation.

• Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• Keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and efficiency.

• Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and Google Suite.
