This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Direct the enterprise Central Operations division of Aligned Data Centers, focusing on Operational Reliability, Operations Training & Workforce Readiness, and Operational Excellence.
• Formulate multi-year strategies, organizational roadmaps, staffing plans, operating budgets, compensation proposals, and capability enhancement initiatives.
• Convert executive directives, operational risks, incident patterns, customer obligations, and business requirements into prioritized programs and quantifiable results.
• Harmonize site operations with corporate functions to ensure uniform implementation across various markets.
• Deliver executive updates, business case analyses, board presentation materials, decision-making documents, operational narratives, and strategic recommendations.
• Supervise technical reliability, incident management, escalation processes, root cause investigations, corrective measures, lessons learned, and remediation tracking.
• Oversee AMMO asset reliability audits, PREP pre-operational assessments, CMMS quality assurance, technical evaluations, site readiness reviews, and corrective actions.
• Manage enterprise operations training, technician onboarding, workforce preparedness, technical curricula, qualification programs, instructor governance, training compliance, and Learning Management System oversight.
• Drive the implementation of the Operator Development Program and standardized training for new Operations Technicians.
• Spearhead maintenance strategy and governance, ServiceNow/CMMS governance, compliance, operational standards, analytics, reporting, innovation, and strategic initiatives.
• Create executive and operational reports, including monthly operations summaries, board materials, Power BI dashboards, PagerDuty analytics, incident metrics, maintenance performance, and training reports.
• Direct incident management, operational risk mitigation, root cause analyses, after-action evaluations, operational readiness, and improvements across the enterprise.
• Establish operational data, KPIs, scorecards, reporting schedules, executive dashboards, integrations, automation, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior leaders, directors, managers, program owners, technical subject matter experts, training professionals, analysts, and coordinators.
• Oversee departmental budgets, headcount plans, contracts, purchase requests, vendor expenditures, project funding, cost-benefit analyses, and financial forecasts.
• Represent Central Operations in executive reviews, customer consultations, audits, incident evaluations, strategic planning sessions, vendor negotiations, and governance forums.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combinations of education, military experience, technical training, and relevant experience will be considered.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in data center operations, mission-critical facilities, reliability, engineering operations, maintenance, training, operational excellence, or a related area.
• Extensive leadership experience across multiple sites.
• Proven experience in leading several enterprise functions, departments, or capability areas through managers and senior technical professionals.
• Advanced understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems, BMS/controls, water systems, maintenance strategies, incident management, operational readiness, and data center operational practices.
• Proven track record in developing enterprise programs, governance models, standards, policies, audit frameworks, technical training, performance reporting, staffing plans, and scalable organizational structures.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms, preferably ServiceNow, operational reporting, dashboard creation, workflow governance, and data-driven decision support.
• Experience in developing business cases, departmental budgets, vendor strategies, contracts, investment proposals, and presentations for executives or boards.
• Ability to lead in high-pressure situations, assess incomplete or conflicting information, make risk-based decisions, and convey clear guidance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, sequences of operations, commissioning documents, specifications, operating procedures, maintenance needs, contracts, and complex project materials.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executives, customers, auditors, vendors, and large technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and enterprise collaboration tools, reporting, workflow, AI programs, and learning platforms.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% to 50% based on portfolio requirements, site incidents, program rollouts, training, audits, and leadership meetings.
• Capability to meet specified physical demands, including occasional lifting of over 50 pounds and exposure to operational environments.
