This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Formulate and execute platform-specific strategies to strengthen carrier relationships and optimize appointment scheduling.
• Integrate platform-level partnerships to align with Trucordia’s long-term objectives, ensuring strategic growth and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate carrier performance metrics, such as loss ratios, production reports, and various KPIs.
• Assess regional and national market trends to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Act as the primary liaison for platform-level carrier concerns.
• Address carrier-related issues as needed and guarantee that offices utilize available carrier resources to their fullest.
• Collaborate with sales leaders, account managers, and executives to align carrier relationships with business objectives.
• Lead negotiations with carriers to secure fair compensation, enhance profit-sharing, and create growth opportunities.
• Refine carrier placement strategies and incorporate best practices.
• Ensure effective collaboration between the platform and the national Carrier Relations team.
• Represent the platform in carrier strategy meetings, industry events, and regional carrier gatherings.
• Report to the Trucordia VP of Carrier Relations and collaborate with the Platform Leadership team and the broader Central Carrier Relations team.
• Propel execution and growth for both the platform and Trucordia.
• Extensive experience in brokerage operations and managing carrier relationships.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience, ideally within a brokerage environment.
• Carrier-side experience will be considered if it involves substantial engagement with brokers and management of strategic partnerships.
• Strong grasp of complex insurance products available in the specified geographic area, including CCIPS/OCIPs/Wraps, Environmental/Pollution Liability, Specialty Surety Bonds, and other specialty coverage lines.
• Capability to think strategically, take initiative, and identify opportunities to enhance carrier partnerships.
• Proven track record in building and sustaining long-term relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in leveraging analytics to evaluate carrier performance, identify placement gaps, and drive effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to present carrier strategies, advocate for change, and negotiate favorable outcomes.
• Skill in navigating complex carrier dynamics, balancing competing priorities, and executing initiatives successfully.
• Capacity to work autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities.
