Senior Director – Carrier Platform Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute strategies tailored to specific platforms to enhance relationships with carriers and maximize appointments.

• Integrate partnerships at the platform level to align with Trucordia’s long-term objectives, fostering strategic growth and operational efficiency.

• Evaluate carrier performance indicators, such as loss ratios, production reports, KPIs, and both regional and national market trends.

• Act as the primary point of contact for platform-level carrier concerns, escalating issues when necessary and ensuring offices utilize available carrier resources effectively.

• Collaborate with sales leaders, account managers, and executives to align carrier relationships with business requirements and propel strategic initiatives.

• Oversee carrier negotiations to guarantee equitable compensation, optimize profit-sharing arrangements, and create avenues for growth.

• Enhance carrier placement strategies, incorporate best practices, and ensure effective collaboration between the platform and the national Carrier Relations team.

• Represent the platform in discussions on carrier strategy, industry events, and regional carrier meetings.

• Propel growth in premium and profitability, enhance average commission rates, optimize appointments, acquire new business, and strengthen relationships with carrier leadership.

• Report directly to the Trucordia VP of Carrier Relations while collaborating with the Platform Leadership team and the broader Central Carrier Relations team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in brokerage operations and managing carrier relationships.

• At least 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a brokerage environment.

• Experience on the carrier side may be accepted if it involves substantial engagement with brokers and management of strategic partnerships.

• Strong comprehension of complex insurance products available in the specific geographic area, including CCIPS/OCIPs/Wraps, Environmental/Pollution Liability, Specialty Surety Bonds, and other specialized coverage lines.

• Capability to think strategically, take proactive measures, and recognize opportunities to enhance carrier partnerships.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain long-term relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders.

• Proficiency in utilizing analytics to evaluate carrier performance, identify placement gaps, and drive effective solutions.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to navigate intricate carrier dynamics, balance competing priorities, and implement initiatives efficiently.
