Senior Director, Business Architecture, Process Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the vision and standards for the business architecture practice.

• Develop enterprise capability maps, target-state operating models, and process/data ownership maps.

• Lead the process excellence function while overseeing process redesign and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure the team is accountable for measurable outcomes related to efficiency, quality, and cost.

• Align business architecture and process redesign priorities with the AI product roadmap.

• Collaborate with the Director of Transformation Governance and Performance to provide KPIs, delivery status, risks, and AI adoption metrics for the enterprise transformation scorecard.

• Strengthen leadership capabilities within business architecture and process excellence.

• Oversee a multi-team organization that encompasses both disciplines.

• Represent the disciplines in steering committee and governance forums.

• Advocate for priorities, resource allocations, and target-state decisions to senior and executive leadership.

• Report directly to the Vice President of Transformation and Performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in business architecture, process excellence/continuous improvement, and product management.

• Direct experience managing a team responsible for AI-enabled or data-driven products.

• 5+ years of direct supervisory or management experience.

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field, or additional relevant equivalent work experience.

• Experience in translating enterprise strategy into capability models, process redesigns, and an AI product roadmap within a large, complex, matrixed organization.

• Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary organization and manage managers across multiple functions.

• Skill in operating across business architecture and process excellence disciplines and translating between them for senior stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of AI/ML product concepts, including use case scoping, model risk, responsible-use considerations, and adoption metrics.

• Competence in making resource and prioritization trade-offs and justifying them to executive leadership.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities; adept at managing and monitoring multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel to various locations for work.

• Preferred: Master’s degree.

• Preferred: Experience managing managers or a multi-functional organization with 15–20+ FTEs.

• Preferred: Experience in health insurance, healthcare, or another regulated industry.

• Preferred: Certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, TOGAF, Business Architecture, or Certified Scrum Product Owner.

• Preferred: Previous experience establishing or scaling an AI product function.
