System Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create innovative concepts for cutting-edge IT infrastructures.

• Provide guidance to clients on the technical viability of their IT infrastructure projects.

• Design solution architectures for IT initiatives and processes.

• Collaborate with specialized departments and Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM).

• Offer advice to clients regarding technology solutions.

• Assist in infrastructure projects from the planning stage through to implementation.

• Oversee the IT security evaluation of architectures and IT solutions.

• Support clients with inquiries related to security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity.

• Collect and analyze requirements effectively.

• Evaluate potential use cases and determine their technical feasibility.

• Construct high-performance, secure platforms for the digitalization of public administration services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in a field related to IT.

• Multiple years of experience as an IT Architect or in a similar role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

• Experience in implementing services across diverse infrastructures.

• Initial exposure to cloud infrastructures, preferably Private Cloud or a similar environment.

• Self-sufficient and organized work approach.

• Client-oriented attitude.

• Familiarity with documentation that adheres to BSI requirements and IT standards.

• Proficiency in the German language.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer.

• Understanding of Linux systems, especially SUSE Linux Enterprise and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.

• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Private Cloud or AWS.

• Familiarity with MS-SQL, Oracle, and MariaDB/MySQL.

• Understanding of load balancers, such as Radware Alteon.

• Knowledge of middleware technologies like Apache, Tomcat, IIS, and JBoss.

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with networking components including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers.

• Experience with backup solutions and strategies.
