Manager, Architecture – Facades & Branding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Architecture team with new store initiatives and relocation projects, primarily focusing on façade design.

• Work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders to comprehend project objectives, requirements, and financial constraints.

• Assess site conditions, zoning laws, environmental aspects, and other pertinent factors.

• Prepare and submit documentation for building permits.

• Collaborate with local authorities to ensure adherence to regulations and address any revisions or issues that arise.

• Maintain communication throughout both the design and construction phases.

• Create architectural renderings of façade elevations utilizing digital tools.

• Develop façade exhibits that align with the Burlington Brand.

• Resolve design challenges and produce façade renderings and finish documentation for each store location.

• Implement signage codes, landlord guidelines, and municipal requirements.

• Review blueprints and specifications to inform façade and signage design.

• Investigate architectural materials and suggest options that meet performance and budget targets.

• Visit sites to document conditions, materials, and dimensions for execution documentation.

• Oversee multiple projects in alignment with real estate and legal timelines.

• Engage with city planning departments, brokers, and landlord representatives.

• Document procedures into departmental training manuals.

• Generate Lucernex reports and identify store locations that need landlord follow-up.

• Track and communicate project milestones effectively.

• Organize and archive site documentation within Lucernex and departmental folders.

• Review architecture scope requests, allocate projects, and conduct follow-ups.

• Input project documentation into Lucernex.

• Collaborate with Store Planning, Design & Architecture to adhere to schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

• Participate in project and departmental meetings.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.

• Provide overall team project assistance.

• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports.

• Set priorities, distribute workloads, and monitor performance.

• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

• Mentor team members in project management, design execution, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving.

• Build relationships with partners, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus for store openings and business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a combination of an Associate Architecture degree and drafting/design experience in an architectural setting is preferred.

• 5-7 years of experience in commercial architecture projects.

• 2-3 years of experience in team management.

• Strong skills in Architectural Visualization are essential.

• Proficiency in Photoshop, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and various rendering software.

• Experience with Smartsheet.

• Conduct site visits and client meetings.

• Strong skills in MS Office, Adobe Suites, Illustrator, Bluebeam, and familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

• Experience in preparing construction documents.

• Willingness to travel, drive a vehicle, stand, walk, sit, and lift as required.
