This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual global closing processes across all entities and currencies.
• Take ownership of technical accounting research and its application regarding revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and foreign currency translation.
• Manage and mentor accounting managers, senior accountants, and staff accountants.
• Supervise the consolidation of international subsidiaries, intercompany eliminations, transfer pricing coordination, and multi-currency reporting.
• Oversee the external audit process and maintain relationships with independent audit firms.
• Collaborate with FP&A on actuals, forecasts, and management reporting.
• Drive improvements and automation throughout the record-to-report cycle.
• Manage equity compensation accounting and administration, including RSU and option accounting, reporting, and oversight of 409A valuations.
• Review technical accounting memos and documentation for judgmental positions.
• Support M&A due diligence and integration, treasury and banking relationships, and financial due diligence requests.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting and tax obligations across various international jurisdictions.
• Advocate for automation, AI-enabled solutions, and innovative technologies in accounting operations.
• Utilize offshore and outsourced resources while upholding controls and quality standards.
• Build, coach, and cultivate a high-performing accounting team.
• Oversee payroll operations, tax compliance, general ledger reconciliations, and coordination with HR/People.
• Manage accounts payable, treasury, cash management, banking relationships, cash forecasting, and disbursement controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting and industry experience.
• Experience in the SaaS or software industry is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-entity, international organizations is essential.
• Experience with multi-currency consolidation and reporting for foreign subsidiaries.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP is required.
• Practical experience applying ASC 606 and other complex technical accounting standards.
• Proven experience in people management, building, and developing high-performing accounting teams.
• Strong aptitude for systems.
• Experience with modern ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Workday, or Oracle is advantageous.
• Familiarity with close management or automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex accounting matters to non-accounting stakeholders and senior leadership.
• High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
