Senior Director, AI Development – Go to Market Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the AI initiatives of Community Solutions in the field.

• Oversee the development and deployment of AI tools for testing and refinement across a network of over 170 communities.

• Provide strategic insights for transitioning high-impact prototypes into widespread adoption within the network.

• Implement AI principles that ensure human involvement in the decision-making process while safeguarding individuals' dignity and data.

• Evaluate AI tools throughout their development and deployment phases to mitigate bias.

• Manage the AI portfolio and supervise the AI-related activities of the Principal of Policy and Evaluation, Data Scientist, and program manager.

• Create a go-to-market strategy budget for approval by the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

• Define strategies for the development and testing of AI tools and prototypes.

• Own the technical architecture for the AI portfolio.

• Decide on in-house development versus partnerships or contracting out tasks.

• Establish privacy-compliant, local deployment methods for tools interacting with client data.

• Manage relationships with technology partners and seek opportunities in corporate AI programs, accelerators, and philanthropy.

• Monitor the AI-for-good landscape and maintain critical relationships in building and implementation.

• Supervise partner-community pilot projects, collect feedback, and devise scaling strategies.

• Facilitate the translation of tools into user-friendly documentation and training materials.

• Proven ability to utilize current AI tools and deliver functioning software.

• Proficiency across the technology stack, APIs, prototyping, and data management.

• Knowledge of model deployment, security, and compliance is highly advantageous.

• Strong product judgment with a history of identifying valuable projects to pursue.

• Experience in managing collaborations with external organizations, particularly in technology or funding sectors.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, favoring execution over extensive planning.

• Knowledge of homelessness or human services data is a plus, or a willingness to learn quickly.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to engage credibly with field users, technology partners, and funders.
