Senior DevOps Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain secure cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, and GitOps methodologies.

• Deploy and oversee Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Manage and govern enterprise DevOps platforms including JFrog Artifactory, Xray, Curation, Argo CD, SonarQube, and LaunchDarkly.

• Provide support to Humana Military and enterprise teams by ensuring software supply chain security, artifact governance, and platform operations.

• Implement practices for vulnerability management, dependency governance, and secure software delivery.

• Design and facilitate feature flag management and progressive delivery capabilities using LaunchDarkly.

• Create automation and self-service solutions utilizing PowerShell, Bash, Python, and AI-assisted engineering tools.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other regulatory standards across DevOps platforms and processes.

• Configure and maintain enterprise build agents and runners across Linux, Windows, and GitHub Runner environments.

• Provide L3 support, incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call assistance for critical platform services.

• Develop engineering standards, documentation, reusable templates, and resources for developer enablement.

• Engage in Agile delivery practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, or operations.

• More than 5 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience.

• Proven experience in designing and supporting cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Experience in building and managing CI/CD platforms with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, and GitOps methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms including AKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Experience in administering JFrog Artifactory, Xray, Curation, Argo CD, SonarQube, and LaunchDarkly.

• Proven track record in implementing software supply chain security, dependency governance, vulnerability remediation, and secure software delivery practices.

• Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows administration.

• Advanced scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.

• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and platform reliability practices.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale DevOps platforms and developer enablement initiatives.

• Familiarity with operating within HIPAA, SOC2, or other regulated compliance environments.

• Preferred: experience with large-scale enterprise DevOps platforms.

• Preferred: experience leading modernization, onboarding, adoption, and governance initiatives for enterprise DevOps platforms.

• Preferred: knowledge of DORA metrics and DevOps models.

• Preferred: experience integrating automated testing, security scanning, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: experience supporting healthcare technology platforms or other highly regulated industries.

• Preferred: Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, or related cloud certifications.

• Preferred: experience with software supply chain security and governance frameworks.

• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

• Home internet service with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
