Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, provision, maintain, and enhance INNERGY’s Azure cloud infrastructure.

• Implement and uphold infrastructure-as-code across various environments.

• Enhance cloud cost efficiency, performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on infrastructure design and technical specifications.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

• Standardize deployment patterns throughout INNERGY’s product portfolio.

• Facilitate containerization and orchestration utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Minimize manual tasks and operational toil through automation and self-service tools.

• Enhance deployment reliability and improve the developer experience.

• Support and refine SLO and SLA practices for production systems.

• Implement and maintain observability across metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.

• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.

• Engage in incident response, maintain runbooks, conduct postmortems, and refine operational processes.

• Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure follow-the-sun coverage and system reliability.

• Implement best practices for infrastructure security and automated security controls.

• Support audit and compliance requirements.

• Partner with IT and Security teams on vulnerability management, access controls, and infrastructure security.

• Identify and address infrastructure risks and reliability issues.

• Advocate for DevOps best practices across engineering teams.

• Mentor and assist engineers on infrastructure, automation, and platform matters.

• Provide technical expertise during architecture reviews and infrastructure planning.

• Evaluate and suggest tools and technologies.

• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams across global regions to maintain consistent practices and operational continuity.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure, including 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or similar roles.

• Significant experience managing cloud infrastructure in production SaaS environments.

• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes in live environments.

• Proficient in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

• Strong expertise with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code technologies.

• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Go, Bash, or comparable languages.

• Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.

• Solid understanding of networking, security, system architecture, scalability, and high-availability design.

• Software engineering background adequate to understand, review, and contribute to development efforts.

• Ability to apply AI-first approaches to tooling, automation, and problem resolution.

• Experience in supporting production reliability, including SLOs, incident management, root-cause analysis, and postmortems.

• Capability to influence technical decisions and collaborate effectively across engineering teams.

• Proficiency with GitHub for source control, collaboration, and CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, or complex production settings.

• Extensive experience running production workloads in Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with .NET application environments.

• Experience in manufacturing, ERP, or industrial software contexts.

• Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar security and compliance frameworks.

• Background in high-growth SaaS or PE-backed environments.

• Experience collaborating across distributed global teams and time zones.

• Proficiency with Jira.
