This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in the creation, testing, deployment, and monitoring of tools and environments within a cloud-based infrastructure.
• Contribute to software releases, manage infrastructure, oversee inventory, and handle installations, configurations, and connectivity.
• Analyze and enhance system performance utilizing Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, and the ELK Stack.
• Work collaboratively with development, QA, and operations teams to refine deployment processes and enhance system reliability.
• Embed security best practices into pipelines and infrastructure through a DevSecOps approach.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in both development and production environments.
• Update and modernize legacy systems by leveraging cloud-native services and automation.
• Design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Cloud Build, and Harness.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes, OpenShift, GKE, and Cloud Run (Knative).
• Provide support for development, QA, and operations across various applications.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field, or FOUR (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain a Public Trust government clearance is required.
• A total of SIX (6) years of industry experience.
• A minimum of TWO (2+) years working as a DevOps Engineer.
• Experience in a DevOps environment supporting various teams and applications.
• Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting Java-based application stacks (NGINX, Apache HTTPD, JAVA JDK, Apache Tomcat, PostgreSQL).
• Strong comprehension of application network configurations (Reverse Proxy, TLS Certificates, DNS, Load Balancers, Routers, Firewalls).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (experience with Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab, Harness preferred).
• Practical experience in deploying applications to Google Cloud and/or Kubernetes (OpenShift, GKE, or EKS).
• Proficient with infrastructure and deployment automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, YAML, ArgoCD, HELM).
• Experienced in Git source control (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket), including branching and merge requests.
• Proficient in using Linux (RHEL 8+).
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server (2016+).
• Experience with DataDog, Splunk, Google Logging and monitoring, or similar tools.
