Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and implement infrastructure to facilitate smooth migrations of essential systems.

• Create, develop, and sustain tools and processes for scalable AWS SaaS products.

• Collaborate with developers to enhance application reliability, performance, security, and scalability.

• Construct and manage highly available and secure infrastructure components.

• Coordinate with both technical and non-technical teams on infrastructure-related decisions.

• Engage in a weekly on-call rotation as the final line of defense.

• Lead root cause investigations and promote enduring solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in an Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role.

• Proficient in system design and architecture.

• Practical experience in cloud infrastructure management; AWS is preferred, but Azure or GCP are also acceptable.

• Strong knowledge of engineering-level networking and security.

• Familiarity with AWS services, including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform/Terragrunt.

• Background with Chef or Puppet.

• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and GitOps workflows.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.

• Proficiency in reading Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with ECS or EKS is advantageous.

• Exposure to SOC2 or secure-by-default methodologies is a plus.

• Knowledge of L7 load balancing is an added benefit.
