This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Deliver technical guidance and architectural vision for DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering methodologies across various agile teams.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, security, and infrastructure teams to create scalable, secure, and highly automated delivery platforms.
• Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership for multiple scrum teams.
• Align DevOps solutions with business objectives and product strategies.
• Define and refine standards for build, deployment, infrastructure, and environment management.
• Create reusable reference architectures, templates, and design patterns.
• Lead the design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines for build, test, release, and deployment workflows.
• Establish best practices for source control, branching, and release management.
• Design Infrastructure as Code solutions for provisioning and managing environments.
• Integrate security and compliance measures into pipelines through DevSecOps.
• Promote the adoption of containerized and cloud-native architectures utilizing Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Ensure platforms fulfill scalability, resilience, performance, and cost-efficiency criteria.
• Advise teams on service networking, API management, load balancing, and traffic management.
• Assist in high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Provide Level-3 support for complex production incidents and reliability issues.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
• Identify areas for improving system stability and operational maturity.
• Mentor and coach engineers on DevOps practices, tools, and architectural decision-making.
• Advocate for automation, ownership, continuous improvement, and quality.
• Research emerging tools, technologies, and practices.
• Build consensus and propose cost-effective solutions that enhance delivery speed, quality, and reliability.
• Optimize DevOps platforms and processes grounded in measurable outcomes.
• Over 10 years of practical experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Build & Release, or Engineering Operations roles.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining DevOps architecture within enterprise-scale production environments.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Practical experience in deploying and troubleshooting applications in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Advanced skills in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
• In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools including Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking, load balancing, caching, and service discovery.
• Strong understanding of security, secrets management, and certificate management.
• Well-versed in high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to influence and guide technical direction among teams.
• Preferred: experience with observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or Datadog.
• Preferred: familiarity with NGINX/NGINX Plus, Consul, and Redis.
• Preferred: exposure to Site Reliability Engineering practices and reliability metrics.
• Preferred: experience in supporting large enterprise platforms such as BPM, CRM, Portals, or Content Management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (preferred).
• Nice to have: experience with the Java ecosystem, including JDK, Spring Boot, and Struts.
• Nice to have: knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.js.
• Nice to have: experience with monolithic, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
