This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.
• Develop, enhance, and sustain the automation infrastructure landscape.
• Take ownership of defining build and dependency management strategies across various applications and teams.
• Design, refine, and maintain reusable Maven build frameworks and standards.
• Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to set security baselines and implement DevSecOps best practices.
• Serve as a key participant during security audits and compliance evaluations.
• Establish quality metrics and automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead investigations into complex build, deployment, and integration challenges.
• Drive the implementation of permanent corrective measures.
• Oversee the design, governance, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise CI/CD platforms.
• Propel automation initiatives to boost developer productivity and operational efficiency.
• Work in partnership with QA, Development, Security, and Operations teams.
• Mentor and guide engineers in contemporary DevOps methodologies.
• Document technical standards meticulously.
• Adhere to a Kanban approach focused on continuous improvement, transparency, and flow efficiency.
• Collaborate with Agile development teams to deploy and manage code modifications.
• Assist in ensuring that customer-facing systems operate reliably at scale.
• Extensive experience with Maven, including large-scale multi-module projects, dependency governance, build optimization, and custom plugin development.
• Strong proficiency in the Java ecosystem, including framework compatibility, runtime management, Tomcat, application servers, and modernization efforts.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex upgrades of Java, Spring, Tomcat, and containerized environments.
• In-depth knowledge of modern CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Advanced understanding of DevSecOps, secure software supply chains, and vulnerability management.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes along with Linux administration.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in implementing observability solutions using monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
• Strong grasp of Git workflows, version control strategies, and release management processes.
• Must reside in Germany or the Netherlands.
