This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and cultivate an assigned team of DevOps engineers.
• Set individual and team expectations, priorities, objectives, and accountability.
• Facilitate one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, career development discussions, coaching, and employee feedback.
• Foster technical talent through mentoring, skills enhancement, cross-training, knowledge sharing, and succession planning.
• Oversee daily delivery execution for DevOps initiatives and engineering commitments.
• Convert organizational priorities into team plans, engineering tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage capacity, resource allocation, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, project commitments, and operational support.
• Monitor workload, delivery commitments, dependencies, risks, and resource limitations.
• Coordinate DevOps engineering support across multiple enterprise, business, security, platform, and transformation initiatives.
• Act as the primary daily DevOps leadership contact for business, product, engineering, security, and technology domains.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among DevOps, application engineering, infrastructure, security, SRE, architecture, and other teams.
• Spearhead the implementation, operation, and continuous enhancement of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation.
• Establish DevOps standards and practices for dependable, repeatable, secure, and scalable application delivery.
• Promote infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, deployment automation, and environment governance.
• Create reusable DevOps patterns, templates, pipelines, automation frameworks, and self-service capabilities.
• Manage and enhance source control, CI/CD, artifact management, API development tools, configuration automation, and engineering platforms.
• Assess DevOps tools and technologies, providing recommendations for platform capabilities, standards, lifecycle management, and modernization.
• Integrate security controls and validation into automated software delivery workflows.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation, security findings, control gaps, and platform risks.
• Support cloud migration, cloud engineering, platform modernization, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Integrate monitoring, logging, observability, alerting, and operational readiness requirements into application delivery.
• Engage in incident management, escalation response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Assist with disaster recovery, business continuity, resiliency, and failover readiness initiatives.
• Ensure production changes adhere to governance, change management, and release management protocols.
• Collaborate with the Director of Cloud & Platform Operations on DevOps strategy, operational plans, escalations, and transformation efforts.
• Manage a team of 5–7 Lead DevOps Engineers and DevOps Engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, SRE, systems engineering, or related technology disciplines.
• At least 3 years' experience in directly managing and developing technical professionals is preferred.
• Experience in supporting enterprise software delivery, automation, and cloud-hosted applications is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in employee coaching, performance management, career development, resource planning, workload prioritization, and delivery accountability.
• Relevant certifications in cloud, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, container platforms, or related technical fields are preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise DevOps practices, software delivery automation, cloud technologies, and platform engineering principles.
• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, deployment automation, and environment management.
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud-hosted applications, platforms, and software delivery environments.
• Familiarity with modern source control, artifact management, CI/CD, API tooling, configuration automation, and deployment technologies.
• Strong grasp of cloud-native technologies, containers, APIs, scripting, infrastructure automation, and associated engineering frameworks.
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational telemetry practices.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, vulnerability management, software supply-chain security, identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, and technology risk management.
• Knowledge of incident management, change management, release governance, disaster recovery, and operational resiliency practices.
• Experience collaborating with Software Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Governance/Risk/Compliance, and other enterprise technology teams.
• Ability to translate strategic direction into clear team objectives, priorities, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications.
