DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Serve as the subject matter expert for a specific service while collaborating closely with the appropriate software team.

• Offer operational support for software implementations.

• Address production incidents as they arise.

• Create infrastructure automation tools to reduce manual tasks.

• Identify and resolve potential issues before they impact services.

• Ensure high availability for managed services.

• Execute the infrastructure solutions required by product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Linux systems, covering shell scripting and performance optimization.

• In-depth knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, etc.).

• Prior experience managing a large-scale, high-uptime environment.

• Proficiency in coding with Python, PHP, or another interpreted language such as Perl or Ruby.

• Familiarity with the deployment and maintenance of web applications.

• Experience utilizing a configuration management tool like Ansible.

• Understanding of general monitoring principles and familiarity with tools like Zabbix, New Relic, etc.

• English proficiency: Advanced.

• Availability for a Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 Uruguay schedule.

• Capability to work the specified hours of the role.
