Senior Developer – Microsoft Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the existing BI landscape, including models, performance, adoption, and best practices.

• Create and develop strong, scalable semantic models.

• Construct executive dashboards utilizing Power BI.

• Establish governance standards for workspaces, datasets, and analytical models.

• Apply security best practices, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and sensitivity labels.

• Enhance performance using DAX, Power Query (M), and VertiPaq.

• Collaborate on the integration of Power BI with Databricks (DirectQuery and Delta Sharing).

• Provide technical recommendations to advance the BI architecture.

• Work autonomously, conducting a comprehensive review of the environment and suggesting improvements.

• Engage in a strategic global initiative aimed at implementing data governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Power BI.

• Expertise in Semantic Modeling.

• Advanced skills in DAX.

• Proficiency in Power Query (M).

• Experience in performance optimization (VertiPaq, aggregations, and large data volume handling).

• Familiarity with Power BI Service (Workspaces, Deployment Pipelines, Gateways, and RLS).

• Background with Databricks (DirectQuery and Delta Sharing).

• Understanding of UX for dashboards and self-service analytics.

• Capability to work independently, analyzing and recommending enhancements across the BI environment.

• Advanced/Fluent English for consistent communication with global teams.

• Microsoft PL-300 certification (preferred).

• Microsoft Fabric DP-600 certification (preferred).

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (preferred).

• Background in Data Governance projects (preferred).

• Knowledge of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and modern analytics architecture (preferred).
