Senior Developer – Delivery Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for delivery on behalf of teams reliant on the pipelines.

• Ensure a consistent flow of code to production and swiftly resolve issues that may hinder teams.

• Extend the delivery window by operating from the Eastern time zone or even further east.

• Eliminate manual processes in the pipeline and enhance orchestration to boost throughput.

• Lead effective change management initiatives and prepare teams for modifications in delivery workflows.

• Empower engineers through effective communication, guidance, and robust design principles.

• Leverage AI and automated coding tools to research, design, and produce reliable pipeline code.

• Construct and manage pipelines that extract, build, ship, and securely deploy code to production.

• Offer orchestration and quality-check mechanisms for teams collaborating in a shared codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a senior DevOps, delivery, or platform engineer.

• Proficient in Git and GitHub Actions, or a comparable CI/CD system like CircleCI, Blacksmith, or Depot.

• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline architecture.

• Comfortable with YAML and some Bash scripting.

• Knowledge of Docker and containerization practices.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog.

• Proficient with AI coding tools, including Claude and Cursor.

• Background in a monolithic or extensive shared codebase at a company of significant scale.

• Excellent communication skills and a genuine, collaborative demeanor.

• Residing in the Eastern time zone or further east, with a preference for candidates in Canada; Atlantic or UK candidates are also welcome.

• Willing to start earlier than usual to support an extended delivery window.

• Ruby experience is desirable but not mandatory.

• Candidates must currently reside and work in Canada, eligible to work there without employer sponsorship.

• Jane is unable to assist with relocation, visa sponsorship, or employment through a third party or employer of record.

• Comfortable with the integration of AI tools throughout the interview process, including transcription tools.
