Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain software functionalities for a large-scale Windows desktop CAM application.

• Collaborate with Product Management and senior engineers based on provided specifications.

• Identify and fix defects within existing code.

• Enhance, repair, and uphold software components.

• Produce clean, thoroughly tested code that aligns with team quality benchmarks.

• Participate in code reviews, acting as both author and reviewer.

• Acquire and implement knowledge of CAM and manufacturing domain principles.

• Stay updated with contemporary C++ and best practices in software development.

• Contribute to technical documentation and sustain internal knowledge repositories.

• Engage with senior engineers and management regarding project updates, technical inquiries, and implementation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development within a production environment.

• Strong expertise in C and C++; familiarity with modern standards (C++11/14/17) is preferred.

• Proven experience in reading, debugging, and extending existing codebases.

• Knowledge of Windows desktop application development.

• Proficient in debugging tools and systematic approaches to software defect resolution.

• Understanding of essential data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.

• Experience with version control systems in a collaborative environment.

• Strong mathematical fundamentals and a readiness to engage with technical or geometric concepts.

• Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Equivalent practical experience demonstrating the necessary technical foundation is acceptable.

• Candidates must possess authorization to work and reside in the United States.
