This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take ownership and advance cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Design, implement, and uphold secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform and additional automation tools.
• Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release automation.
• Administer and optimize Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Implement observability across infrastructure and applications using DataDog, incorporating monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance metrics.
• Create systems and processes that enhance reliability, uptime, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Security to identify and address infrastructure and cloud security risks.
• Manage cloud networking, identity management, object storage, RDBMS, access controls, secrets management, DNS, load balancing, and related infrastructure.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to eliminate manual processes.
• Diagnose complex production issues and lead incident responses related to infrastructure.
• Establish and refine infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational best practices.
• Assess and implement new cloud technologies and tools.
• Support infrastructure needs for high-scale AI/ML workloads.
• Mentor engineers while raising the technical standards for cloud infrastructure and operational excellence.
• Assist in defining the long-term architecture and roadmap for the cloud and DevOps environment.
• Collaborate with compliance teams for SOC2, ISO, and FedRAMP certifications.
• Within three months, acquire an in-depth understanding of AWS and Azure environments, identify infrastructure risks and opportunities, build relationships with Engineering and Security, take charge of critical infrastructure and operational processes, eliminate manual work, enhance reliability/observability/deployment processes, and initiate the implementation of a scaling roadmap.
• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a closely related field.
• Expert-level proficiency with both AWS and Azure — this is a fundamental requirement.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker/containerized environments.
• Profound experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong skills in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud networking, including VPCs/VNets, routing, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Solid understanding of IAM, secrets management, encryption, least-privilege access, and cloud security.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms and practices.
• Strong scripting/programming ability in languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
• Experience managing production systems where reliability and uptime are critical.
• Exceptional incident response and troubleshooting skills.
• Capability to work independently, make informed technical decisions, and take ownership from architecture through to implementation and operations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, security teams, and technical leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
