Senior Delivery Leader – Aeroderivative Engine Operations

📋 Description

• Provide leadership in systems technology for GE Aerospace’s Aeroderivative Engine Operations Engineering family of legacy engines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance strategic and tactical objectives focused on production and manufacturing flow.

• Achieve continuous improvement while balancing system-level risk with customer requirements.

• Work alongside engineering section leaders to implement programs effectively and on schedule.

• Coordinate efforts across the Chief’s office, Design Boards, Project Management, Product Support, and Supply Chain.

• Facilitate the integration of systems and design to provide balanced design solutions.

• Lead technical execution throughout development, production, and field support phases.

• Spearhead Value Engineering (VAVE) events to transform producibility, cost, and cycle-time opportunities into validated design and manufacturing solutions.

• Create and standardize engineering production support processes in collaboration with adjacent organizations.

• Act as the main technical liaison with external organizations.

• Unite internal team efforts with customers and partners.

• Negotiate and persuade stakeholders to define and implement technical and commercial solutions.

• Influence significant product line decisions and the long-term strategy of the organization.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration utilizing Lean (FLIGHT DECK) methodologies.

• Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives that decrease delivery-challenge resolution cycle time and enhance engineering processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited university or college.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or turbine power generation.

• At least 5 years of experience in engine systems and/or design engineering.

• In-person attendance is required for New Hire Orientation on Day 1.

• For candidates applying for a role in Mexico: must be legally authorized to work in Mexico.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, as applicable.

• May be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

• An advanced degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering is preferred.

• Multidisciplinary technical expertise, including mechanical design and systems integration experience, is preferred.

• Experience with hardware ownership or hands-on engineering is preferred.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes is preferred.

• Experience leading or facilitating Value Engineering (VAVE), Kaizen, or producibility-improvement events is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability in talent development, mentoring, and coaching is preferred.

• Experience leading teams, including indirect reports, is preferred.

• Strong skills in horizontal collaboration and stakeholder influence are preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills are preferred.

• Proven ability to execute large, complex programs is preferred.
