Senior Default Litigation Loan Servicing Specialist – Foreclosure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee high-risk mortgage default litigation portfolios while adhering to regulatory standards.

• Supervise legal proceedings conducted by counsel, ensuring all necessary actions and milestones are achieved.

• Manage mortgage accounts through processes such as foreclosure, bankruptcy, and other escalated actions, in line with state and federal regulations as well as investor, insurer, agency, and company policies.

• Act as a company representative in mediations, settlements, non-jury trials, jury trials, and depositions.

• Perform thorough file reviews to guarantee adherence to default timelines.

• Administer default processes through collaboration with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and other stakeholders.

• Evaluate attorney performance, proceedings, records, timelines, and activities within systems/databases.

• Conduct audits on accounts to ensure expense compliance and accurate application to the record-keeping system.

• Investigate questionable loan items, including issues related to payment applications and notifications.

• Oversee exception reporting, monitor trends, and propose improvements to processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant experience in areas such as Mortgage Litigation, Mortgage Servicing, Mortgage Title Resolution, or within legal and/or financial sectors.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong capability to follow strict guidelines and processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet applications, and Microsoft Outlook.

• Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks within specified guidelines.

• Skill in effectively coaching, motivating, and leading team members.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in managing several tasks simultaneously and responding swiftly to urgent issues.

• Successful completion of a background check and credit check as a prerequisite for employment, where allowed by applicable law.

• Experience with GSE and Government preferred.

• Familiarity with MSP and LoanSphere is advantageous.

• Paralegal Degree or Certificate is a plus.

• College education preferred.
