Senior Decision Support Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive analyses of volume, revenue, costs, and profitability to elucidate financial outcomes and improve business insights.

• Execute ad-hoc analyses as requested by business trends or leadership from Highmark/AHN/Finance.

• Assess variances relative to budget, forecasts, prior years, or other benchmarks.

• Enhance financial analysis with operational and clinical data for a comprehensive understanding.

• Utilize rate/volume calculations to quantify the effects of patient mix, procedure mix, payor mix, and other business changes.

• Develop and present executive-level summaries that include findings, recommendations, and insights.

• Collaborate with stakeholders within hospital and physician organizations to provide financial and analytical support.

• Utilize detailed general ledger, patient account, and procedure-level data.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior analysts.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, or 6 years of relevant and progressive experience in place of a Bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Capability to analyze and interpret financial results, operational metrics, clinical outcomes, and various datasets.

• Ability to manage large volumes of detailed data and extract strategic insights.

• Skilled in managing multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to cultivate partnerships throughout the organization.

• Self-motivated individual who can drive progress with minimal oversight.

• Must adhere to HIPAA, data security protocols, company policies, code of business conduct, and all relevant laws, regulations, and training requirements.
