Senior DBA / Data Modeler / Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, oversee, and enhance data operations that support FSA IAM systems.

• Guarantee secure, precise, and efficient data management during the migration from legacy AIMS and PAS systems to the modern IAM solution, as well as during ongoing operations.

• Formulate a detailed data transition strategy for transferring existing data and legacy functionalities into a cloud-based architecture.

• Create and sustain file structures, source-to-target mappings, conceptual, logical, and physical data models, along with data dictionaries.

• Develop and optimize automated internal data-sharing mechanisms that facilitate user-account analytics and potential fraud detection.

• Assist with network management tasks related to data flows.

• Capture genuine user IP addresses for each action.

• Implement protections at the network's edge.

• Enable analytic tagging and dynamic error messaging.

• Maintain application-specific information (ASI) documentation.

• Support AIMS token-management data processes.

• Assist environments through database configurations, performance optimization, monitoring, backups, and capacity management.

• Ensure proper management and encryption of key user data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required clearance: Public Trust.

• Required education: Bachelor's degree.

• Required experience: 10 years.

• Extensive expertise in database administration, data modeling, and data engineering.

• Experience in creating comprehensive data models, mappings, and dictionaries.

• Proficient in data migration and transition planning within complex systems.

• Understanding of secure data management, encryption, and protection of PII.

• Skills in database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity management.

• Capability to design and execute automated data sharing and integration processes.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent documentation skills.

• Problem-solving skills for diagnosing data and database challenges.

• Team collaboration skills to effectively partner with development, security, and operations teams.

• Familiarity with federal IT data standards and compliance requirements is preferred.
