Master Data Architect, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assume technical leadership for a data modernization project with a new client.

• Shape the long-term technical strategy for the account following the initial assessment phase.

• Direct a multidisciplinary team throughout the complete lifecycle of data products, from design to deployment.

• Empower data scientists and data developers to create, improve, and sustain data products.

• Engage in architecture and design discussions, establishing secure and efficient solutions.

• Convert business and technical requirements into feasible technical solutions.

• Interact with client team members to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.

• Collaborate with strategy, customer experience, product, and non-technical program management teams.

• Ensure a stable and productive development environment.

• Participate in data evaluations and complex data modernization projects.

• Maintain connections with CI&T's data practice and shared expertise.

• Coordinate project delivery across various teams, clients, and subject-matter domains in Mexico, North America, Brazil, and other Latin American countries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient/Fluent in English (C1 or higher).

• Proficient/Fluent in Spanish (C1 or higher).

• Extensive experience in data architecture design and technical leadership.

• Strong background in designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar).

• Experience in data pipeline orchestration and workflow automation.

• Proven ability to translate business challenges into data solutions.

• Involvement in consultative data assessments and data modernization projects.

• Understanding of Data Governance principles.

• Experience with CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.

• History of collaborating with pre-sales and presenting data solutions to non-technical audiences.

• Capability to develop proof of concepts and prototype complex technical systems.

• Experience in scaling data workloads.

• Familiarity with AI engagements and agentic coding.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
