Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance Data Engineering architectures, standards, and best practices.

• Design and provide expertise on the creation of intricate data pipelines.

• Contribute to the modernization and transition of data architectures and platforms.

• Ensure solutions are scalable, high-performing, of high quality, governed, and secure.

• Assist in the advancement of the data environment on Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Collaborate on integrations with enterprise systems and essential data sources, including SAP.

• Act as a technical resource for the team, facilitating decision-making and endorsing best practices.

• Troubleshoot critical issues and perform root-cause analyses.

• Collaborate closely with business units, Engineering, Data Science, and other Technology teams.

• Support initiatives concerning data protection and security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering and solution architecture.

• Proficient in building and enhancing data pipelines.

• Advanced expertise in SQL and data modeling.

• Familiarity with Spark/PySpark and Databricks.

• Experience with cloud environments, particularly Azure and/or GCP.

• Understanding of Git and CI/CD practices.

• Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security principles.

• Experience with the Azure and GCP ecosystems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, and dbt is a plus.

• Background in integrating data with SAP is a plus.

• Experience with data platform migration or modernization projects is a plus.

• Knowledge of data security and breach-related topics is a plus.

• Data Engineering or Cloud certifications are beneficial.
