Senior DataOps Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Operate within a dynamic, cross-functional setting, providing support for infrastructure, databases, data platforms, and monitoring projects on GCP.

• Ensure the availability, support, and ongoing development of cloud environments.

• Contribute to improving operational efficiency and data governance.

• Administer, support, and oversee environments on Google Cloud Platform.

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases hosted on Cloud SQL.

• Provision, configure, and support cloud instances and resources.

• Create and manage Cloud SQL, Cloud Composer, BigQuery (including datasets, tables, and permissions), and Memorystore.

• Execute database administration tasks such as INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE commands, structural modifications, and support for business teams.

• Oversee and govern analytical environments and data platforms.

• Monitor availability and performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Handle multiple requests and projects concurrently, collaborating with technical teams and business units.

• Provision infrastructure utilizing Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

• Version and manage code through GitLab (Cloud BVS) and GitHub (Cloud EFX).

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in administering PostgreSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

• Knowledge of Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Memorystore.

• Experience in using Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure.

• Understanding of version control systems such as GitHub and/or GitLab.

• Experience in monitoring environments and resolving incidents.

• Ability to collaborate across various workstreams and business contexts.

• Preferred: experience in DataOps environments.

• Preferred: knowledge of cloud observability and monitoring practices.

• Preferred: expertise in governance and cost optimization within GCP.

• Preferred: background in automating processes and managing Infrastructure as Code.
