Senior DataOps Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in a vibrant, cross-functional setting, providing support for infrastructure, databases, data platforms, and monitoring projects within GCP.

• Guarantee the availability, assistance, and ongoing enhancement of cloud environments.

• Contribute to operational efficiency and ensure data governance.

• Administer, support, and oversee environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases within Cloud SQL.

• Provision, configure, and offer support for cloud instances and resources.

• Create and manage resources for Cloud SQL, Cloud Composer, BigQuery (datasets, tables, and permissions), and Memorystore.

• Execute database administration tasks, including INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements, structural modifications, and support for business users.

• Oversee and govern analytical environments and data platforms.

• Monitor availability and performance while identifying opportunities for ongoing enhancement.

• Handle multiple demands and projects concurrently, collaborating with teams and business units.

• Provision infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

• Version and manage code via GitLab (BVS Cloud environment) and GitHub (EFX Cloud environment).

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in administering PostgreSQL databases.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

• Familiarity with Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Memorystore.

• Experience utilizing Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Knowledge of code version control systems such as GitHub and/or GitLab.

• Background in monitoring environments and resolving incidents.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across various initiatives and business contexts.

• Preferred: experience in DataOps environments.

• Preferred: understanding of cloud observability and monitoring.

• Preferred: experience with governance and cost optimization within GCP.

• Preferred: experience in automating processes and managing Infrastructure as Code.
