Senior Databricks Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain comprehensive Databricks pipelines utilizing bronze/silver/gold medallion architecture.

• Create practical data engineering code using Python, SQL, and PySpark, including the use of materialized views.

• Explore unfamiliar or undocumented client data and relay findings to both the team and the client.

• Engage in technical discussions with the client regarding engineering, data modeling, and governance inquiries.

• Assist with “art of the possible” demonstration work as the engagement progresses into subsequent phases.

• Take ownership of hands-on, end-to-end Databricks pipeline tasks for a discovery and architecture engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Databricks in building complete pipelines.

• Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark.

• Experience in implementing materialized views and medallion-layer (bronze/silver/gold) architectures.

• Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar data sets and articulate findings clearly.

• Willingness to commit for the entire engagement duration, which may last up to 26 weeks if extended.

• Excellent written and verbal English skills, capable of effective and professional communication with clients and team members.

• Experience with Azure is preferred.
