This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Evaluate the existing data systems of the client and create a framework for data management.
• Establish and uphold a centralized data repository.
• Implement rules for data validation and automate the cleansing process.
• Set up access controls based on least-privilege principles.
• Formulate backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Streamline the automation of data collection, transformation, and reporting workflows.
• Maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and uphold naming conventions.
• Act as the main liaison for the government client's Contracting Officer and COR.
• Oversee the contract, including the work produced by analysts.
• Ensure timely responses to inquiries within 24 hours.
• Contribute to a forward-thinking, growth-oriented team dedicated to modernizing government services.
• A bachelor’s degree accompanied by 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in database architecture, development, and administration.
• Proficient in SQL, including knowledge of joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with report development and automation techniques.
• Practical experience in creating data frameworks.
• General knowledge of AWS technology.
• Proven experience in establishing or enhancing data governance frameworks, focusing on data quality, security, and access management.
• Background in serving as a reliable point of contact for clients.
• Capability to maintain composure and responsiveness under tight deadlines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Previous experience in a federal statistical, data, or reporting program is preferred.
• Preferred skills include experience in Python, Java, SQL, and Tableau.
• AWS certification is a plus.
