Senior Data Scientist – Real-Time Esports Predictions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Direct research, design, and ongoing enhancement of essential predictive models.

• Develop, construct, and refine machine learning models and statistical frameworks that drive real-time odds and betting markets.

• Extract predictive insights from raw, high-frequency esports telemetry.

• Transform intricate in-game mechanics into structured modeling features.

• Enhance model performance and ensure probability calibration.

• Create robust backtesting frameworks to mitigate data leakage.

• Assess performance against historical market benchmarks.

• Formulate mathematical rules and probabilistic derivations for handicaps, totals, player props, and other derivative markets.

• Convert models into production-ready pipelines and microservices.

• Connect theoretical research with live product functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in data science, quantitative research, or statistical modeling.

• Profound and intuitive grasp of probability, statistics, and machine learning principles.

• Expert-level proficiency in the Python data ecosystem.

• Capability to write clean, production-quality code.

• Demonstrated experience in designing intricate backtesting environments.

• Experience in defining custom evaluation metrics for specific business challenges.

• Nice to have: extensive knowledge of competitive esports, including CS2, Dota 2, and LoL.

• Nice to have: experience in modeling streaming or continuously updating data.

• Nice to have: familiarity with modern MLOps principles.

• Nice to have: experience with MLFlow, Airflow, and similar tools.
