This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.
• Develop models and optimization strategies for upper-funnel marketing performance, encompassing spend allocation, channel mix optimization, budget pacing, media efficiency assessment, audience strategy, and projected revenue impact.
• Design and implement recommendation engines, scenario planning tools, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Lead experimentation and causal measurement initiatives across upper-funnel marketing programs.
• Construct and sustain unified data foundations spanning marketing, revenue, retail, and product systems.
• Create dashboards, reporting layers, and ongoing analytical products to monitor funnel health, campaign efficiency, retail performance, and revenue contributions.
• Collaborate with Marketing and stakeholders to identify growth and efficiency challenges and guide marketing expenditure decisions.
• Work together with Data Engineering to enhance data quality, instrumentation, metric definitions, and the reliability of data pipelines.
• Utilize predictive modeling, optimization, and LLM-enabled workflows where they can provide significant leverage.
• Convert analytical insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Contribute through project ownership, documentation, peer reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Over 6 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, with a proven history of managing high-impact business challenges from start to finish.
• Strong domain expertise in supporting Marketing, Growth, Retail, or other go-to-market functions within a consumer, e-commerce, retail, or digital environment.
• Practical experience in developing marketing data science solutions such as spend optimization models, channel or campaign measurement frameworks, media mix or incrementality approaches, propensity models, budget planning systems, or upper-funnel decisioning systems.
• Proven experience in creating decision systems that operationalize analytical outputs into business workflows and recurring decision-making processes.
• Experience in unifying and transforming data across various systems to establish reliable, scalable datasets.
• Familiarity with experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, and optimization techniques.
• Strong skills in SQL (dbt) and Python.
• Experience in building analytical data models, machine learning workflows, and production-ready measurement systems.
• Experience applying AI techniques in real-world business scenarios, ideally including LLM-enabled workflows, recommendation systems, decision support tools, or other AI-driven products.
• Familiarity with modern cloud and data platforms such as Databricks, AWS, dbt, Snowflake, or similar tools.
• Ability to clearly convey complex analytical concepts and translate model outputs into actionable recommendations.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Nice-to-have: experience in e-commerce, DTC, retail, omnichannel growth, marketing mix modeling, incrementality testing, attribution, budget planning, digital health, consumer technology, wearable products, mentoring, or analytical roadmaps.
