This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +9 more states.
• Convert large amounts of intricate data into sophisticated analytic solutions utilizing mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology.
• Build, sustain, and gather structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Produce reports, forecasts, models, and presentations to bolster business strategies and tactics.
• Execute new or revised programs and extensive projects for the department.
• Aid in the technical and operational procedures and processes.
• Execute strategic plans and propel goals and objectives.
• Enhance organizational performance.
• Contribute insights into departmental strategy.
• Analyze and convey analytic findings to both analytical and non-analytical business partners, as well as executive decision-makers.
• Supervise individual contributors.
• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.
• Master's Degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics and/or a related discipline, along with 6 or more years of experience.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience.
• Proficient in utilizing large sets of structured and unstructured data to derive tactical and strategic insights.
• Experience in developing and validating statistical forecasting models and tools.
• Skilled in interpreting and communicating analytic findings to both analytical and non-analytical business partners, as well as executive decision-makers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Adaptable, dynamic personality who collaborates effectively in a team environment and can also lead individual contributors.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to an organization dedicated to continuously enhancing consumer experiences.
• Preferred: PhD.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare or managed care.
• Preferred: Proven experience with SAS, QlikView, SQL, PL/SQL, MATLABR, or similar statistical tools.
• Preferred: Experience in data management, mining, and manipulation alongside analytics.
• Work from a dedicated space free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Self-supplied internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
• Capability to work standard business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
