Senior Data Scientist – Credit Recovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Develop predictive models for credit recovery.

• Create models to assess payment propensity.

• Design strategies for portfolio segmentation and prioritization.

• Construct models for Next Best Action in collections.

• Create advanced metrics and dashboards.

• Utilize Machine Learning techniques in credit recovery.

• Perform studies to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies.

• Discover opportunities for automation and intelligence in the collections process.

• Assist in measuring ROI for recovery initiatives.

• Collaborate with business teams to convert data into actionable decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in Data Science relevant to credit, collections, or recovery, ideally within financial institutions.

• Proven experience in building and deploying predictive models in a production environment.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, and Data Modeling.

• Familiarity with business metrics and A/B testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of Power BI.

• Experience with Databricks is advantageous.

• Background in Recovery Scoring and models used in credit recovery.

• Awareness of Generative AI applications in collections.

• Experience collaborating with credit unions.
