Senior Data Scientist – Commercial Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Independently engage in various intricate Data Science initiatives with minimal oversight.

• Execute practical AI/ML model creation and deployment.

• Advance personalization and commercial strategies through Data Science and analytical frameworks.

• Create predictive and statistical models.

• Optimize hyper-parameters, scale, and implement models.

• Coordinate optimal next actions.

• Sustain the Data Science CI/CD framework.

• Enhance decision support systems.

• Carry out processes and instruments to assess and analyze model performance.

• Conduct peer code reviews, develop unit tests, and provide constructive feedback on data pipeline and modeling strategies.

• Work alongside data scientists and subject matter experts to build and implement models.

• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to define data requirements.

• Undertake data collection, mining, pre-processing, normalization, and feature engineering.

• Produce audience-tailored documents and presentations that include insights, results, and recommendations.

• Share insights, results, and recommendations with business partners, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences.

• Establish the company’s A/B testing framework.

• Assess model quality, conduct test/learn experiments, validate hypotheses, and refine data science models to enhance corporate KPIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research, economics, or related STEM fields - Preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to balance output quality with tight deadlines, such as developing minimum viable products - Preferred.

• Familiarity with agile, sprint-based methodologies - Preferred.

• Background in hospitality, retail, or customer-service-oriented sectors - Preferred.

• Experience in AI/ML model development and implementation.

• Proficient in data munging and normalization, feature engineering, modeling, hyper-parameter tuning, deployment, experimental design, test execution, and measurement.

• Skilled in developing predictive and statistical models.

• Familiar with data science CI/CD frameworks and model performance evaluation.

• Experience in coding, writing unit tests, and code reviewing.

• Proficient in data collection, mining, pre-processing, normalization, and feature engineering.

• Experienced in developing A/B test frameworks and executing test/learn experiments.
