This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the in-house data specialist for organizing tools, including EveryAction, Mobilize, VAN, Votivate, and others.
• Create and execute strategies for data organization and uphold data within organizing systems.
• Establish systems, structures, templates, processes, and documentation for data entry, modification, and retrieval.
• Oversee WFP’s endorsement and elected official processes while managing associated databases.
• Ensure that systems align with organizational requirements and that data is collected in a timely manner.
• Perform quality assurance and conduct quality checks.
• Maintain clean, precise, and thoroughly documented data as a single source of truth.
• Standardize data generation across voter contact tools.
• Audit organizing tools for compliance with permissions and data protocols.
• Address data requests from organizers, fundraisers, and divisions via the Data Department ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot issues related to permissions, bulk uploads, and other data challenges.
• Train and assist organizers in utilizing tools, following data processes, and adopting clean data practices.
• Configure API integrations between tools, such as VAN and Scale to Win.
• Enter, modify, and retrieve data for organizers.
• Resolve data-related issues, identify gaps in tools, and implement improvements in workflows.
• Write SQL queries to address data inquiries across various programmatic areas.
• Provide data visualizations and reports that offer actionable insights into electoral and member organizing.
• Collaborate with the Data Department, Engineering Team, Analytics Director, and Data Director on prioritization, integrations, models, and progress reporting.
• Candidates must currently possess authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data and organizer roles for candidate campaigns and movement organizations.
• Experience and comprehensive knowledge in administering electoral software tools such as VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize, and Scale to Win.
• Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery within political contexts.
• Experience with Google Sheets and/or Airtable in advanced organizing scenarios.
• Strong familiarity with at least one and ideally multiple national voter file products, including TargetSmart, Catalist, and L2 scores.
• Proficient in using Google Data Studio, Hex, or similar platforms for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience in independently managing data projects from start to finish: scoping, designing, gathering input, implementing, maintaining, and improving.
• Capable of analytical reasoning to troubleshoot technical and stakeholder-related issues.
• Ability to identify patterns and meticulously verify assumptions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a sharp eye for design.
• Capacity to design and implement a system that meets the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast-paced, stakeholder-support role that involves handling tickets and requests.
