Senior Data Scientist – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS.

• Implement extraction, transformation, and loading processes (ETL/ELT).

• Create analytical solutions using Python.

• Build, train, and deploy Machine Learning models utilizing Amazon SageMaker.

• Integrate and automate data flows from various sources.

• Ensure the quality, availability, and reliability of data.

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify data-driven opportunities.

• Optimize processes and data architectures in cloud environments.

• Monitor and enhance the performance of production models and pipelines.

• Participate in defining best practices for Data Science, Data Engineering, and MLOps.

• Transform data into actionable insights alongside multidisciplinary teams.

• Develop robust solutions on the AWS cloud.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering.

• Proven experience in AWS projects.

• Proficiency in development with Python.

• Experience with Amazon SageMaker for model training and deployment.

• Experience in designing and implementing Data Pipelines.

• Experience working with SQL databases and data processing.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.

• Knowledge of version control (Git).

• Solid understanding of AWS Cloud services: S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, IAM, CloudWatch, and Step Functions.

• Experience developing Forecasting models / Time Series Prediction.

• Knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Statsmodels, Prophet, and XGBoost.

• Understanding of MLOps.

• Experience with Docker.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.

• Experience in Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.

• Strong analytical thinking skills.
