Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms to address intricate business challenges.

• Apply MLOps methodologies for model training, versioning, monitoring, deployment, and scalability.

• Create experimental designs and statistical frameworks to assess data science solutions.

• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, sales leaders, IT, and various business stakeholders.

• Facilitate end-to-end development from concept through to deployment.

• Conduct peer evaluations and promote continuous improvement and learning.

• Advocate for data science best practices, data governance, model validation, and ethical AI.

• Discover opportunities to leverage new data sources and data science tools that enhance value and lower costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in data science and machine learning.

• Preferably experience in the manufacturing, HVAC, or Supply Chain sectors.

• Proficiency in the development of machine learning and statistical models.

• Experience in designing experiments to evaluate and quantify model effectiveness.

• A proven history of deploying impactful machine learning models in production settings.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly GCP and AWS.

• Ability to create data science solutions using SQL, R, and/or Python.

• Competence in utilizing and adapting open-source solutions.

• Skill in articulating complex mathematical and statistical concepts in straightforward terms and relating them to business issues.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Demonstrated prior experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI.

• Experience with Agile methodologies is advantageous.

• Background in ERP and CRM systems is a plus.
