Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Translate business challenges and opportunities into solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

• Identify high-value use cases and assess the financial, operational, and strategic impact of the developed models.

• Design, construct, validate, and optimize advanced Machine Learning models throughout the entire process.

• Explore and prepare data for deployment and monitoring within production environments.

• Implement MLOps practices for automating pipelines, managing model versions, monitoring performance, and detecting drift.

• Design and enhance scalable data and Machine Learning architectures in cloud settings, particularly within GCP.

• Ensure the technical quality, data governance, observability, documentation, and overall management of the model lifecycle.

• Act as a technical reference for Data and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.

• Define architectural standards and disseminate knowledge among multidisciplinary teams.

• Assess new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.

• Collaborate with business, technology, and executive leadership teams to align solutions with strategic goals and achieve measurable outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Python or R for developing analytical models, data manipulation, process automation, and implementing Machine Learning solutions in production settings.

• Extensive experience with advanced SQL for extracting, transforming, cleaning, and integrating large datasets.

• Demonstrated experience in building, training, validating, optimizing, and deploying both supervised and unsupervised models.

• Familiarity with libraries such as Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, and others.

• Comprehensive experience through the entire Machine Learning model development lifecycle, including versioning, monitoring, reproducibility, pipeline automation, and performance tracking in production.

• Experience working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.

• Proficiency with Spark, Databricks, and BigQuery.

• Strong understanding of statistics, statistical inference, mathematical modeling, and experimental design.

• Experience with A/B testing methodologies.

• Capability to translate analytical results and performance metrics into actionable insights.

• Experience in developing and monitoring business indicators and model metrics.

• Knowledge of constructing scalable architectures for data processing, storage, and consumption.

• Ability to navigate highly complex analytical environments.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is considered an advantage.
