This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance a team of product managers.
• Define product responsibilities, objectives, and decision-making frameworks.
• Develop practices for planning, roadmap assessments, client feedback, and performance evaluation.
• Recruit and nurture product talent.
• Own the portfolio strategy in alignment with the overall business direction.
• Shape product visions and roadmaps.
• Balance priorities across roadmaps and shared capabilities.
• Validate use cases and commercial interest for new data sources.
• Identify gaps in the portfolio, overlaps, and opportunities for dataset combinations.
• Suggest offerings to scale, enhance, consolidate, or phase out.
• Act as a hands-on product manager for a strategically significant data feed or quantitative-focused project.
• Lead customer discovery, analyze data, and translate client requirements into product strategies.
• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, Data Science, and Quant Research to evaluate feasibility and launch products.
• Enhance products based on client evaluations and integration insights.
• Share responsibility for portfolio revenue growth, retention, expansion, and product profitability.
• Collaborate on pricing, packaging, positioning, sales, and evaluation methodologies.
• Define and monitor customer adoption metrics, evaluation conversion rates, time to value, retention, and commercial outcomes.
• Set expectations for data quality, coverage, timeliness, documentation, and delivery.
• Collaborate on quality assurance, monitoring, change management, and issue resolution.
• Enhance customer discovery, evaluation, onboarding, integration, and support for feeds.
• Ensure clients comprehend methodologies, constraints, historical changes, and use cases.
• Develop a consistent experience for quantitative and systematic customers.
• Align Product, Data, Engineering, Research, Quant, Applications, and commercial teams.
• Collaborate with Quant Research on systematic investor requirements.
• Assess data opportunities in relation to customer needs, licensing limitations, quality, and economics.
• Communicate strategy, trade-offs, progress, and risks to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Extensive product management experience, typically 7+ years, with a focus on commercial data products, data feeds, or similarly data-driven B2B products.
• Proven experience in directly managing and developing product managers.
• Demonstrated success in guiding products from customer discovery to launch and scaling, with quantifiable customer and business results.
• Strong judgment and prioritization skills regarding portfolio management.
• Commercial acumen, including knowledge of pricing, packaging, revenue growth, retention, or product economics.
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable using Python to explore data and address product-related inquiries.
• Technical proficiency in data products, encompassing schemas, methodologies, quality, delivery mechanisms, and implications of product modifications.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Enthusiasm to remain a hands-on product owner while developing and leading a team.
• Preferred: experience with alternative data, financial data, or investment research products.
• Preferred: familiarity with fundamental, quantitative, or systematic investment workflows, including dataset evaluation, backtesting, and integration.
• Preferred: experience in building portfolios that cater to multiple customer segments or integrating various data sources.
• Preferred: experience with third-party data partnerships, licensing issues, and vendor dependencies.
• Preferred: knowledge of APIs, cloud-based data delivery, and practices related to data quality and operational reliability.
