Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine, define, and execute advanced analytics and data science initiatives.

• Develop data modeling processes, algorithms, and predictive models.

• Construct, prototype, and implement machine learning models within production settings.

• Work closely with product, technology, and other stakeholders to identify and define data science projects.

• Convey modeling challenges, insights, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Design and execute comprehensive ETL data pipelines that integrate information from various data sources.

• Investigate new internal and external data sources and evaluate their potential commercial value.

• Mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert during cross-functional discussions.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as required.

• Travel as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• At least three (3) years of experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis.

• Strong experience with data visualization tools and libraries.

• Expertise in data exploration, data wrangling, and feature engineering.

• Proficient in coding with Python or R and ensuring documentation for reproducibility.

• Well-versed in evaluating models and code developed by others.

• Familiarity with both supervised and unsupervised machine learning methodologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Capability to produce thorough, accurate, and constructive written reports.

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Commitment to meeting or exceeding performance competencies.

• Willingness and capability to travel as necessary.
