Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams alongside business units to gain insights into users, product performance, and market conditions.

• Work closely with the Product Engineering and Design (PED) team to establish objectives, understand product engagement, and derive lessons from experiments conducted in the two-sided marketplace.

• Create measurement frameworks and introduce new metrics or reporting systems.

• Align stakeholders across various functions on priorities and the analytical roadmap.

• Design and evaluate experiments.

• Analyze user behavior and the dynamics of the marketplace.

• Examine business trends and identify factors influencing business performance.

• Work in partnership with Analytics, Data Engineering, and the wider data community to foster a strong data culture.

• Report directly to the Head of Analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, product analytics, or related fields.

• Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with large datasets.

• Experience in creating visualizations using Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence platforms.

• Skilled in conveying insights to business partners effectively.

• Capable of managing cross-functional stakeholders and prioritizing an analytics roadmap in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

• Experience in applying statistics and designing experiments within a business context.

• Proficient in at least one data-centric programming language such as Python, R, or Julia.

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering).

• Preferred: Previous experience with another two-sided marketplace.

• Preferred: Experience in applying causal inference, predictive modeling, or other advanced statistical techniques within a business environment.
